Toy2r 7" Transparent Bear Qee

"Toy2R proudly introduces the new 7" Clear Qee Bear. Re-engineered with new arm articulation, the Qee can rotate its arms in a full 360 degree circle and point out at a full 90 degrees from its body, giving the figure a bigger range of motion. Customizers will enjoy the freedom of movement as well as the ability to remove the head, arms and legs for easy access to paint or fill the inside of the Qee - bringing a whole new level to custom platform figures."
WOW! Now this sounds pretty amazing looks like it will be way easier to customize (well for me anyhow) and the ability to paint inside it too. Looks like I may need one of these.

Toy Review : Family Guy x Kidrobot Series 1 Mini Figure
Just picked up a Family Guy x Kidrobot Series 1 Mini Figure Blind Box. First thing to know is that I've been a Kidrobot fan / collector for many years. The past couple of years, there were so many companies competing for your business which in turn led to purchasing less and less of Kidrobot's products. Is it because my tastes in collecting have changed? Prices? Quality? Uniqueness? Yes, it very well could be. More on this later on another blog. (See what blogs have done to me?)
Review Time!!!
First, we are going to take a look at the box/packaging. Off the bat, great packaging. For the most part, Kidrobot has done a lot of great box/packaging art for their products. I really like the nice touch of adding the sticker to the blind boxes so it may help ward off those who open the blind boxes in the store just to see whats in there and pass on it unless it's a chase figure. But I think there will always be those that can find a way to bypass the sticker through opening the bottom or another way. I think it was a good gesture on Kidrobot's part even though it still won't be too effective on box tampering.

Munky King OMI Series 1 Release, Signing & Trade Party
This coming Thursday, March 3rd 2011 from 7pm - 10pm @ Munky King. Munky King will be releasing OMI Series 1 and will have artists who are in the series at the opening party to sign your OMIs. The first 50 people to purchase a case will get either the Omi Wall Mount or one of Yoskay Yamamoto's Designs. These will be blind boxed.
OMI was first introduced back at SDCC 2010. I had the opportunity to purchase one of their DIY OMI as well as their exclusive SDCC version. Here are some pics of what I got.
For the DIY OMI, there are 4 different versions as you can see on the side of the box. It is checked to let you know which version you are getting. These are 3.5" tall and comes with an ABS Acrylic Frame and base with an emossed rubber peg. So basically once you are done with customizing this you can display this wherever you want since it comes with frame that you can leave on your desk or even hang it on a wall.
This was the SDCC 2010 Exclusive version. I thought this was really unique and of course since I like the unusual stuff I had to get one. Not too long after SDCC last year, Munky King also sells Wall Mounts that can hold up to 9. They had a bunch of these at their booth filled with many customs by artists who stopped by their booth.
