PIXELS Electric Dreams Factory at SDCC

PIXELS Electric Dreams Factory was an outside event at SDCC in the Gaslamp District. PIXELS is an upcoming movie featuring Adam Sandler, Kevin James etc... which is set to hit theaters in 2015. As we wait in line we are given 3 tokens to play some of the classic 80's arcade games such as Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Centipede, Frogger, etc... The top 5 scores per day are entered to win a Playstation 4 and a Grand Prize winner will win a walk-on roll in PIXELS.

This was pretty fun to do. Haven't played these games in a long time. When you're done playing they take down your info in case you're one of the high scores of the day and can possibly win. If you don't win, it doesn't matter, you can get a cool 80's sunglasses from the Electric Dreams Factory worker.

Hello Kitty at Petco Interactive Zone

Sanrio / Hello Kitty was back at SDCC this year. They had a small booth inside the convention center. They had a bigger set up outside the exhibit hall in the Petco Interactive Zone. This year they had Hello Kitty's House filled with Hello Kitty merchandise which was on display only. Hello Kitty was also available to take pictures with and of course to give you a Hug. For Hello Kitty's 40th Anniversary, they are seeing how many hugs Hello Kitty can get from around the world. They were also there to promote the Hello Kitty Con which takes place in later October / early November in Los Angeles. They were also doing free nail art and temporary tattoos. More pics after the jump.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For at SDCC

Frank Miller's Sin City A Dame to Kill For had a huge display during SDCC at the Petco Interactive Zone. (You'll notice that some of the cars are wet. That's because on Sunday, it rained.)

TMNT Pizza Thrower at SDCC

Inspired by the TMNT Pizza Thrower Toy was a real live version at SDCC this year in the Petco Interactive Zone. Unfortunately, we got a wee bit too excited with this and of course Pizza Hut was there giving out free slices of pizza so we got distracted from taking pics. During the time that we were there, the Pizza Thrower was not working.

Check out the pics of our free pizza from Pizza Hut below and of course we have a couple of pictures and short video from Pizza Hut & their PR Company.

Sleepy Hollow at SDCC

Sleepy Hollow was in the Petco Interactive Zone during SDCC this year for their Oculus Rift Experience. The pics at night is a much better look. During the day, you can meet the Headless Horseman. The line for this was long every day (no surprise) and sadly we didn't experience this.

Bumble Bee Tuna at SDCC

We ran into the Bumble Bee Tuna at SDCC in the Petco Interactive Zone. The Bumble Bee Tuna was there the same time as Michael Myers.

Eat Like a Boxtroll at SDCC

Eat Like A Boxtroll Food Truck was at the Petco Interactive Zone during SDCC. Check out their menu below. The Boxtrolls comes out in Theatres September 26th 2014.
Do you have the stomach to eat these?

Michael Myers at SDCC

Michael Myers invaded SDCC and here they are at the Petco Interactive Zone getting pictures done for the release of the Halloween The Complete Collection 15-Disc Deluxe Edition. We just happened to be there at the right time when they were taking pictures to promote their box set release coming out in September.

Mondo at SDCC

Mondo not only brought their cool poster prints to SDCC this year but they were also showing off prototypes of their new toys. Yes, Mondo is expanding into toys. At SDCC, we were able to see the TMNT Mouser 2-Pack, The First Turtle, Lil Mikey, the Iron Giant Collectible Figure and Bolt prop replica along with Alfred Hitchcock. Check out all the pics below.

Prototypes by Varner Studios at SDCC

SDCC's Exhibit Floor is huge...and you know how you always seem to miss something. (We know this all too well.). Just by chance while trying to navigate the massive exhibit hall row by row, we happen to come across the Varner Studios Booth. They make prototypes for various companies. The ones above are what we came across first but as we turned the corner to look at the other side of the booth, wow we were in for a treat! There were prototypes from the vintage TMNT line and various other lines like Family Guy, Happy Meal/Kids Meal Toys etc...

After the Jump, there are a lot of pictures. We were geeking out this booth and there were maybe 1 or 2 unreleased vintage TMNT toys.

Art, DIY, Vinyl Toys etc... at SDCC

Here we just grouped in all the vinyl toy companies, artists booths etc... You'll see pictures from Zero Friends, Giant Robot, Lulubell, Skinner, Frank Kozik, Super7, Rotofugi, Cardboard Spaceship, Gargamel, Grass Hut, Dead Zebra and more... Enjoy the pics!

Gotham at SDCC

Gotham also had a pretty noticable presence at SDCC this year. On the lawn between the Hilton and the Convention Center they set up a zip line where you zip through Gotham City. Very cool way to promote this new show. The lines were long for this too even though you had to have a SDCC badge to participate.

FXX's Every Simpsons Ever at SDCC

FXX had the huge area of the lawn between the Hilton & Convention Center to promote their Every Simpsons Ever Marathon which will start August 21st. They will be playing every single episode and the movie that was ever made. Homer's Dome was still being assembled preview night, Thursday and a little bit on Friday morning.
