New Universal Monsters at Toys"R"Us & Comic Shops

Diamond Select Toys announced new Universal Monsters - Creature from the Black Lagoon and Son of Frankenstein which are Toys"R"Us exclusives. These should be hitting Toys"R"Us stores soon. As a bonus there is also a new Van Helsing as well. These are 7" action figures.

Frankenstein's Monster as he appears in Son of Frankenstein, and a super-poseable version of the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Both feature entirely new sculpts by Jean St. Jean, and both come packaged on a blister card with a small display base. Additionally, the Monster comes with the prosthetic arm of Inspector Krogh. Van Helsing stands around 7 inches tall, and comes armed with an axe, a sword, a crossbow and a blunderbuss, all of which can be carried on his person.

If you don't have a Toys"R"Us near you, you can pre-order the Select Editions of the same 3 figures which is scheduled to arrive September 17th at your local comic book shop. These come with a larger diorama base as you can see in the pictures above.

All three Select figures come packaged in larger, display-ready Select packaging, which has spine artwork for easy shelf reference.

If you are fan of the animated series Bravest Warriors on Cartoon Hangover and LOVE Catbug then this book is for you. It's called Catbug's Treasure Book by Viz Media x Perfect Square. Hardcover and size is approximately 8.25" x 6.25" and retails for $12.99. This book shares Catbug's secrets and dreams. There is a lot of reading so if you like to read, this is definitely something you should pick up. We won't spoil what's inside the book so you'll just have to go pick up a copy for yourself.
