Netflix Geeked, Netflix’s home for all things genre entertainment, is prepping for our second annual Geeked Week and we’re going all out for this year’s festivities. Geeked Week 2022 is a free five-day virtual event celebrating Netflix’s genre series, films, and games that runs June 6-10 across all your favorite platforms. Varèse Sarabande Records is excited to announce the LP release of The Iron Giant (Deluxe Edition) Original Motion Picture Score with music by Michael Kamen. Varèse Sarabande has previously released Kamen’s The Iron Giant score as a 49-minute program single LP. Hasbro Unveils the Logo & Character Image of “Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes” at Licensing Expo

A new kind of hero is in town, introducing Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes!

Coming from the Las Vegas Licensing Expo, Hasbro and its entertainment studio, eOne, are excited to present the new preschool series’ lead character and logo. Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes follows the high-action adventures of dance and martial arts-loving Kiya, and her best friends Jay and Motsie. Together, with their crystal-charged powers, they are superheroes in the Southern-African inspired Kimoja City, shining bright to make things right until harmony and unity is restored in their community. The show is set to launch globally on Disney+, amongst other platforms, in 2023.

Hasbro’s initial licensed consumer products program for Kiya focuses on toys, apparel, dress up, role play and publishing.

The Nacelle Company, parent company to the award-winning stand-up comedy label Comedy Dynamics, is set to unveil the Legends of Laughter action figure line featuring comedy legends, Lenny Bruce, Joan Rivers and Bill Hicks, ComicBook.com has learned exclusively. This release marks the first time the diversified media company known for Netflix's The Toys That Made Us, A Toy Store Near You, and The Movies That Made Us, as well as Behind The Attraction (that one's on Disney+), has blended both of its established brands into one collectible. Sprinkle in some nostalgia and you have what's likely to be a winning combination, especially with the announcement coming on the heels of HBO's George Carlin's American Dream.
