Shaun of the Dead SDCC 2024 Pop-Up Experience

Focus Features will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Edgar Wright's cult classic horror comedy, Shaun of the Dead, with a special immersive pop-up experience during San Diego Comic-Con 2024. An unforgettable homage to the iconic zombie movie, the Shaun of the Dead pop-up promises to transport visitors directly into the hilariously twisted universe of the film.

Located at 520 Fifth Avenue, the space is open to the public from Thursday, July 25th, through Sunday, July 28th. Thursday through Saturday the pop-up is open from 12pm-6pm and 12pm-4pm on Sunday. Fans will be able to explore a meticulously crafted set re-creation of the Winchester Tavern, interactive photo opps, a complimentary can of themed beer courtesy of Beer Zombies (must be 21+, while supplies last), exclusive merch, game demos and giveaways. 

One of the highlights of the experience will be the chance for guests to be among the first in the world to play the Shaun of the Dead-inspired level of the upcoming co-op action game, Funko Fusion, developed by 10:10 Games. This exclusive sneak peek comes ahead of the game's global release this fall. Pre-orders for physical console editions of the game are currently available at select global retailers and digital distribution partners.

Guests 21+ will receive a complimentary can of beer of the “Winchester Plan.” Available while supplies last and courtesy of Beer Zombies Brewing Co, the Winchester Plan is a beer for when your town is inexplicably overrun with zombies. A European Style Lager crafted with the finest malt and noble hops, delivering a smooth, refreshing taste, the Winchester Plan is perfectly balanced with a mild bitterness and a clean finish. The Shaun of the Dead pop-up experience is free to attend, but due to anticipated demand, guests are required to make reservations for specific time slots to gain entry. Focus Insiders will have first access to reserving a time slot beginning July 16 at 10 am PT. Reservation slots will open to the public on July 17 at 8 am PT. There will be a standby line to accommodate walk-ups.

Hulu Animayhem’s Factory at San Diego Comic-Con

Hulu is bringing Animayhem back to San Diego Comic-Con with a zany, 2D factory where its beloved animated series are made. Inside the factory, fans will find Hulu’s most iconic animated titles like Futurama, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, The Simpsons and more! The activation is located right next to the Convention Center on the Bayfront’s Parking Lot. AMC NETWORKS HEADS TO SAN DIEGO COMIC CON

 

AMC Networks announced today its lineup of five star-studded series panels at this year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego, CA, including the Walking Dead Universe series The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol and The Walking Dead: Dead City; the Anne Rice Immortal Universe series Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire and Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches; and the final season of Snowpiercer. Fans will get an exclusive first-look at trailers and teases from the highly anticipated second seasons of Dead City and Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol, which premieres on Sunday, September 29 on AMC and AMC+. Attendees will be treated to an advance screening of the second episode of Snowpiercer’s final season, followed by a panel with cast and executive producers. Additionally, the casts and creative teams from Interview with the Vampire, which was recently renewed for a third season, and Mayfair Witches, returning early next year, will discuss their respective series and debut new teases. AMC Networks will also present a special advanced screening of Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol on Friday, July 26 at the Rooftop Cinema Club Embarcadero.

SONY PICTURES TELEVISION TO MAKE SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON DEBUT WITH FAN FAVORITES THE BOYS, COBRA KAI AND TWISTED METAL

 

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) will make its San Diego Comic-Con debut featuring panels, activations, giveaways, signings and exclusive content, as well as its first-ever booth on the convention floor (Booth #4745) featuring fan-favorite series The Boys, Cobra Kai, Twisted Metal and For All Mankind. Additionally, two new animated shows from SPT, Universal Basic Guys and Sausage Party: Foodtopia will be previewed in special animation panels during the convention.

Apple’s Hit Drama 'Silo' to Make San Diego Comic-Con Debut

Apple TV+ announced that “Silo,” its globally acclaimed and hit world-building drama based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy, will make its San Diego Comic-Con debut on Saturday July 27, 2024 for a panel and conversation around what fans can look forward to in the highly anticipated second season of “Silo” featuring star and executive producer Rebecca Ferguson, star Common, creator and showrunner Graham Yost and executive producer Hugh Howey, plus surprise special guests. The panel will be moderated by Adam Savage (Editor-in-Chief, Tested.com). 

“Silo” is the story of the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built and any who try to find out face fatal consequences. Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer, who seeks answers about a loved one's murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don't kill you, the truth will. 

Fans can catch up on the first season, now streaming globally on Apple TV+.

Following its global premiere in May 2023, “Silo” was quickly hailed as a “riveting and equally star-studded,” “must-watch” series and “simply transcendent sci-fi TV.” In addition to quickly reaching Certified Fresh status on Rotten Tomatoes, season one landed acclaim for its "rich and compelling” world-building elements, as well as the “incredible” performance by Ferguson, who “brings an understated gravitas” to the lead role.

Crunchyroll Heads to SDCC with Two Massive Concerts— LiSA and One Piece

Crunchyroll is announcing a once-in-a-lifetime anime and music experience from July 25 - 28 at San Diego Comic-Con. On Friday, July 26, the Crunchyroll Concert Series will take over The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park with global J-pop sensation LiSA. The concert is free to all San Diego Comic-Con badge holders.* 

On Friday night, ahead of the North American theatrical debut of global J-pop sensation LiSA's concert film LiVE is SMiLE ALWAYS -LANDER- on August 17, the iconic voice behind countless hit anime themes will perform in the U.S. for the first time in nearly 10 years. LiSA returns to the U.S. as Spotify’s 2020 Most Played Japanese Artist Overseas and currently has 4.1 million monthly listeners on the platform—accolades driven by her global appeal. Experimental musician and performance artist Alice Longyu Gao will open the evening with a set inspired by her deep connection to NANA, a classic anime about romance and music.
