First Loot Anime x Crunchyroll Crate On Sale Now, Themed Unity

LOS ANGELES – May 2016 – Making the popular subscription service Loot Anime even better, Loot CrateTM, the company behind Loot Crate, Loot Gaming, Loot Pets and Level Up monthly subscription services for geeks, gamers and pop culture lovers, has teamed up with Crunchyroll, Inc., the leading anime content streaming service. The result of this partnership is a new and improved monthly subscription service: Loot Anime x CrunchyrollTM, and it elevates the most popular monthly anime merchandise subscription service to a whole new level.

To celebrate this partnership, the first crate is themed “Unity” and features amazing artwork that incorporates each company’s popular main characters: Crunchyroll’s Hime ChanTM and Loot Anime’s monthly theme mascot. The Unity crate will celebrate characters coming together to achieve greatness and will feature four exclusive items (including a Funko POP!) from the following franchises: “The Boy and the Beast,” “Dragonball Z,” “Fullmetal Alchemist” and “Yo-Kai Watch.” The first Loot Anime x Crunchyroll crate is on sale today and offers exciting new benefits to Loot Anime and Crunchyroll premium subscribers:

  • All Crunchyroll Premium subscribers will now receive an additional $5 monthly discount on their Loot Anime subscription. This discount is available to both new and existing Loot Anime subscribers. For 3-, 6- and 12-month Loot Anime x Crunchyroll subscriptions, the discount will be an additional $10, $20 and $40 respectively.
  • Loot Anime will have early access to Crunchyroll’s content schedule, anime licensing expertise and relationships in Japan to ensure the merchandise inside the crate features the hottest anime on Crunchyroll.
  • The Loot Anime crate will now include Crunchyroll branding and colors.  In addition, this month’s theme of Unity contains exclusive artwork featuring Crunchyroll’s Hime ChanTM and Loot Anime’s main character as well (whose name has yet to be revealed!)
Existing Loot Anime subscribers will see no change in price or frequency, but they can now look forward to even better content. With packages starting at $22.95 per month, Loot Anime’s subscription price will remain the same. Every crate is valued at over $60, making this the most cost effective way for fans to enjoy a diverse mix of premium anime products.

With more than a half million Looters across its services, Loot Crate pairs phenomenal customer support with monthly mystery box subscriptions curated to feature exclusive collectibles, apparel and accessories. Crunchyroll’s strong relationships with Japanese licensors and focus on serving the anime community will take Loot Anime to the next level. Through this partnership, not only will subscribers receive the highest quality anime merchandise, including figures, collectibles, manga, apparel and accessories, but they will also gain access to exclusive merchandise curated to match the latest streaming content and licenses available from Crunchyroll.
