Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein (voice of Star Wars’ Ahoska Tano) and Broadway star Michael James Scott (The Genie in Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway) today announced the launch of their new weekly podcast, HypeFriend!, debuting July 11 with a three-episode premiere. The duo returns to San Diego Comic-Con to co-host the opening night event, The Her Universe Fashion Show Presented by Universal on Thursday, July 24 at 6 p.m. PT in the Seaport Ballroom of the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel. This will be Michael James Scott’s third year co-hosting the iconic SDCC kickoff event, where fans will yet again be dazzled by his powerhouse vocals and electrifying fashion.
Friends since high school, Ashley and Michael launch HypeFriend! as a weekly podcast with the singular mission of starting a friendship revolution, one “HypeFriend” at a time. Filled with Hypes & Gripes, Good Gossip, and Neighbor Drop-Ins, the comedy podcast centers around authentic conversation meant to inspire the next generation of friendships. Guests featured in the premiere episodes include voice actor Bret Iwan (official voice of “Mickey Mouse”) and Andrew Levitt, also known as Nina West from RuPaul’s Drag Race. All three are available now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube.
For the first time ever, the HypeFriend! podcast will host a special “Her Universe Fashion Show After Party” on Friday, July 25 (10-11 am) at the Neil Morgan Auditorium of the San Diego Central Library. Fans are invited to join the special live taping, hear the backstage stories, and meet the newly crowned “Her Universe Fashion Show” winners.

Actress, author, designer, entrepreneur, inspirational speaker, and producer, Ashley Eckstein, is most known for originating the character of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars, she voices Ahsoka in projects such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Rebels, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy - Pieces of the Past, coming to Disney+ this September. Best known as the “Genie” in Disney's Aladdin on Broadway and having won awards for playing the role in productions around the world, Michael James Scott is globally recognized for originating the Broadway roles of “The Minstrel” in Something Rotten! and “Dr. Gotswana” (aka The Maggots Man) in The Book of Mormon. He's the voice of Disney Cruise Line’s national commercial campaign, where you can hear his reimagined rendition of Cinderella’s “A Dream Is A Wish” and is currently touring with his symphonic show of the same name. With more than fifteen Broadway credits, Michael can be heard on multiple cast albums, studio recordings, and on his holiday album A Fierce Christmas. Fans will step into a post-apocalyptic world filled with bumper-to-bumper chaos at Peacock's Twisted Metal Bumper Battle. As an homage to the Twisted Metal tournament at the forefront of season two, fans will be able to choose their ride, featuring the show’s most iconic vehicles reimagined as bumper cars, and take part in their own version of the Calypso hosted derby. In addition to the bumper car experience, fans can expect epic photo ops, a display of some of the tournament cars featured in the series, surprise and delight moments, and pandemonium around every corner.

AMC NETWORKS RETURNS TO COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL WITH DYNAMIC LINEUP OF FAN-FAVORITE SERIES PANELS, SCREENINGS, FAN ACTIVATION & MORE
AMC Networks returns to Comic-Con International in San Diego, CA with a dynamic lineup of fan-favorite series panels and a not-to-be-missed Shudder activation based on the hit film CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD, which makes its Shudder and AMC+ streaming debut on August 8, among other activities. Panels include a return to Hall H for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, featuring an exclusive first-look at the official trailer from the third season, premiering Sunday, September 7 on AMC and AMC+; and Ballroom 20 panels for two series in AMC Networks’ Anne Rice Immortal Universe, including the new season of the critically acclaimed Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, which began production in Toronto last month, and the newest series, Anne Rice’s Talamasca, premiering in October on AMC and AMC+.
Additionally, the IFC Entertainment Group will have cast and producers from a number of films participating in three panels, including Collider’s Ladies Night After Dark, featuring female filmmakers in the independent space; The Bold Voice of Contemporary Horror panel, spotlighting a variety of horror films; and Leave Them in Suspense panel, which will include Adam Cesare, award-winning author of the book Clown in a Cornfield, on which the film is based.

Comedy Central is bringing together an all-star lineup of animation and comedy legends for a can’t-miss Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025. Marking their triumphant return to SDCC after nearly a decade, Trey Parker and Matt Stone (South Park) will join Mike Judge (Beavis And Butt-Head) and Andy Samberg (Digman!) for the Comedy Central Adult Animation panel on Thursday, July 24 at 6:45 PM in Hall H. Season 27 of South Park premieres Wednesday, July 23 at 10:00 PM ET/PT, followed by the season two premiere of Digman! at 10:30 PM ET/PT on Comedy Central.
Mobile Suit Gundam Takes Over San Diego Comic-Con 2025
Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. today announced its lineup of Gundam-related activities at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), one of the world’s largest pop culture and entertainment conventions. The event will take place in San Diego, USA, from Thursday, July 24 to Sunday, July 27, 2025.
At Booth #3829, the Bandai Hobby will showcase a special display celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. Fans can explore a wide range of exclusive Gundam Wing merchandise and experience a statue of the iconic Wing Gundam up close.

MeTV's Svengoolie at San Diego Comic Con
Calling all horror fans! Don’t miss this spooktacular panel celebrating the greatest horror films and characters of all time, and the enduring legacy of Svengoolie as we explore the past, present and future of TV horror hosting. As the last nationally broadcast horror host on the air, Svengoolie represents a unique legacy in television history, blending classic monster movies with comedy and fan engagement to keep this beloved tradition alive since the 1970s – and on MeTV since 2011. This summer Svengoolie is excited to showcase some new movies to the Svengoolie library, including Earth Girls Are Easy which makes its MeTV debut on Saturday, July 26 at 8pm ET/PT, with the Sven Squad also taking over Svengoolie’s dungeon for the night to serve as official hosts.
